The community came out and supported art, again. The second annual Mercer County School District Art Collective Art Gala in downtown Aledo was a major success Saturday. One of the student artists, junior Molly Dixon, saw her painting go for $650.
Junior Sunny Roberts watched bidding for her photography piece reach $725.
The night generated over $14,000, shared by the art program and art students.
