Mercer County Youth Livestock Auction Grosses $53,934

Another big success for the Mercer County Youth Livestock Auction. $53,934 was grossed at the Friday night event. Evan Wynne showed the grand champion market swine, which brought $7 a pound.

The grand champion steer garnered $2.70 a pound at the auction. Davin Shike was the exhibitor.

This was the 28th year for the auction.

Grand Champion Steer — Davin Shike, $2.70 a pound from Diamond Ag and Gavilon Grain.
Grand Champion Rabbits — Mason Gray, $310 from Mercer County 4-H Alumni.
Grand Champion Market Swine — Evan Wynne, $7.00 a pound from Circle C Enterprises and Golden Harvest Seed.
Grand Champion Poultry — Tyler Barrington, $675 from Line Show Cattle and Campbell Ag.
Grand Champion Market Lamb — Macy DeBlock, $10.50 a pound from Compeer Financial in Aledo and Wayne Franck & Beck Hybrids.
Grand Champion Goat — Nate Lower, $11.25 a pound from Nutrient Ag in Viola and Roeder Bros. Seed.
