A Viola man facing a felony sexual assault charge has been released from custody and will return to Mercer County Circuit Court for a preliminary hearing next month.
22-year-old Marcellus Trice appeared in court on Tuesday, where he was granted pretrial release and scheduled to return to court on July 6.
According to a Mercer County Sheriff’s Department press release, 22-year-old Marcellus Trice was arrested on Monday and charged with a Class 1 felony of criminal sexual assault.
