A Mercer County burglary investigation nets two arrests. The Mercer County Sheriff’s Department reports that 45-year-old Chad W. John and 51-year-old William D. Brooks, both of Monmouth, were taken into custody over the weekend. The arrests stem from an investigation where an outbuilding was entered near the Alexis area. Preliminary hearings are set for Aug. 1.
