Sherrard (12-1) beat Byron (7-3) 60-55 in the semifinal round of the Mike Hutchins Holiday Classic Friday.
Sherrard trailed by five points in the fourth quarter, but rallied for a comeback victory. Rylan Carton scored a game-high 19 points in the win. Ryder Veronda added 15 points.
Byron had a seven-game winning streak snapped with the loss.
Sherrard will play East Dubuque for the tournament championship Saturday at 7 p.m.
Rockridge (9-4) dispatched Illini West (9-4) 65-36 in the quarterfinal round of the Macomb-Western Holiday Tournament Friday.
The Rockets led by as many as 34 points in the fourth quarter. Landon Bull scored 20 points, grabbed 14 rebounds, and dished out five assists.
The Rockets play Peoria Christian in the semifinals Saturday at noon.
