A Matherville man is facing charges of methamphetamine possession and criminal trespass stemming from a disturbance at an apartment complex in the village over the weekend.
According to a Mercer County Sheriff’s Department press release, deputies responded to a call at The Lake Matherville Apartments Saturday, where 38-year-old Timothy McMeekan was arrested and charged with a Class 3 felony of methamphetamine possession and a Class B misdemeanor of criminal trespass.
McMeekan was released from custody following his initial court appearance Monday. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for August 11.
