Karole Lee Franks – Services 11/7/24

Karole Lee Franks, 62 of Aledo, Illinois, passed away Saturday, November 2, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m., Wednesday, November 6, at Fippinger Funeral Home in Aledo. The funeral service will take place at 10 a.m., Thursday, November 7, at Fippinger Funeral Home. Interment will be at the Peniel Cemetery in rural Joy, Illinois. Memorial contributions may be left to the family, where they will divide funds to either the grandchildren’s college fund or to First Baptist Church of Aledo. Karole was born on December 24, 1961, in Aledo, the daughter of Jerry and M. Pauline Castle Noble. She graduated from Westmer High School in 1980. Karole married Curt Franks on August 3, 1980, in Joy.

Karole was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Aledo. For 25 years, Karole worked at the Mercer County Courthouse as the office manager for the State Attorney’s Office. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading and watching Christmas movies, especially “White Christmas.” She loved spending time on a beach, her favorite destination was Hawaii.

She is survived by her loving husband, Curt Franks of Aledo; father, Jerry Noble of Aledo; two children, Ben (Kristin) Franks of Davenport and Bradley (Nicole) Franks of Bettendorf; two grandchildren, Riley and Kyler; four siblings, Kathy (Rodger) Whitehall of Joy, Kris (Dave) Salmon of Aledo, Kay Sell of Eliza, and David (Dawn) Noble of Aledo; father-in-law, Carroll Franks of Aledo; two brothers-in-law, Randy Franks of Aledo and Dale (Maria) Franks of Aledo; sister-in-law, Cindy Franks of Aledo; and several nieces and nephews.

Karole was preceded in death by her mother, Pauline Noble; mother-in-law, Frances Franks; and brother-in-law, Danny Sell.
