Illinois City Man Arrested On Another DUI Charge; Bond Set At $500,000

An Illinois City man missed his Mercer County court appearance on a Class 1 felony DUI charge this morning. That’s because he bonded out last month and was arrested again this week in Rock Island County on another Class 1 felony DUI charge. The defendant is 45 year old William Gorham.  His bond is now set at $500,000. He just posted 10-percent of his $50,000 bond or $5,000 cash in his Mercer County case on December 22nd. Mercer County State’s Attorney Meeghan Lee told WRMJ last month that Gorham has four prior DUI’s on his record—including one pending in Muscatine County. Gorham is also facing a Class 3 felony of possession of a firearm with a revoked FOID card and a Class 4 felony of driving while license revoked in Mercer County. He is being held in the Rock Island County Jail.
