The City of Aledo has called a special city council meeting for Tuesday, with the termination of the city’s contract with Lakeshore Recycling Services (LRS) listed on the agenda.
If approved, the termination of LRS’s services for waste collection in Aledo would be effective April 30. Also on the agenda is the approval of a contract between the City of Aledo and Quick’s Dumpster and Disposal of Alexis for solid waste and recycling collection, effective May 1.
Speaking with WRMJ following a public hearing regarding LRS’s service earlier this month, Aledo Mayor Chris Hagloch said the issues have persisted.
The Aledo City Council took no action regarding the potential termination of the city’s contract with LRS at last week’s regularly scheduled meeting.
