Update On Sherrard Supt. Search

The application deadline to apply to be the next superintendent of Sherrard School District closed last week.

Unit 200 Board of Education President Rhys Fullerlove says the next step is training for the school board with the Illinois Association of School Boards on conducting executive level interviews.

Fullerlove SAYS IASB conducted surveys and community forums last May to determine the qualities to search for in superintendent candidates.

The school board unanimously approved hiring IASB at a cost of $7,900 on the heels of Boucher’s retirement announcement last April. He will retire at the end of this school year with more than 36 years of public education service, he has served as Sherrard Superintendent since October 2015.
