A new judge has been assigned to the case of a Keithsburg man charged with a felony of sexual relations within families. 46-year-old Kevin Hockenberry is awaiting trial on the Class 3 felony, which is in connection with an alleged incident that occurred in April of 2019. He was just deemed fit to stand trial in January. Judge Greg Chickris will now preside over the case. Hockenberry is also facing felony charges in two other cases including perjury and false reporting as well as two misdemeanor counts of violating an order of protection. He remains in custody at the Mercer County Jail on $150,000 bond. His attorney asked for a continuance this week in Mercer County Circuit Court with a pre-trial conference now set for May 10.
