The 4th Annual Mercer County 9/11 Remembrance Ride planned for Saturday. This year, the proceeds will benefit the Viola Fire Department, which is the final stop on the ride says Viola volunteer firefighter Jim Morrison.
Sign-up for the ride begins at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Alexis Fire Department. Stops will be made in Seaton, Keithsburg, New Boston, Joy, Aledo, Reynolds, Matherville, Sherrard, New Windsor and Viola. The cost is $15 per driver and $5 for each passenger. The Viola Fire Department will also have a celebration from 4-to-7 p.m. Saturday.
