Rockridge defeated Orion 17-2 in softball Monday. The Rockets scored 11 runs in the first inning. Payton Brown hit two home runs and drove in four runs in the win. Kendra Lewis went 4-4 with 3 RBI. Taylor Dietrich, Cierra Bush, and Morgan Hofer also plated multiple runs for Rockridge. Mikaylin Hofer earned the win on the mound, allowing two runs over three innings.
Rockridge has won 68 games in a row, one shy of tying the state record of 69 set by Casey-Westfield in 1997-98.
