Fire Causes Significant Damage To New Windsor Area Home

A New Windsor area home sustains heavy damage following a weekend blaze. The New Windsor Fire Department was paged out at approximately 4 p.m. Saturday to a structure fire in the 700 block of 305th Street. Viola Fire and Oxford Fire were called in for mutual aid and Tri-County Ambulance was on standby. The resident reported fire in the basement and all occupants were out of the home. Upon arrival on scene, firefighters noted that the basement was fully engulfed, and flames were traveling up the stairs at the back of the home reaching the attic. No injuries were reported. The residents were not able to re-occupy the home and were assisted by other family members after the property was released by the New Windsor Fire Department.
