The last remaining buildings of the Roosevelt Military Academy will soon be coming down. The Aledo City Council approved retaining a firm last night to prepare demolition and bidding specifications for the two crumbling RMA dorms says City Administrator Erin Knackstedt.
Knackstedt says the city is working on getting the former owner of the property to pay for some of the demolition costs.
Klingner & Associates will prepare the demolition and bid specs for $5,100. RMA closed its doors in the 1970s.
