WRMJ Interview: Remembering the Great Flood of 1993 in Keithsburg

Keithsburg knows all too well about the Great Flood of 1993.  Steve Nylin was serving as the town’s water and waste-water superintendent in July of that year.  He still has vivid memories—some 25 years later.

Keithsburg lost 92 homes in the Great Flood of 1993. Flood stage is 14-feet with the river topping out at just over 24 feet that year.  Nylin spent 36-years working for Keithsburg, retiring in 2014.
