The college basketball world is learning about the Ethan Happ story. It’s something his high school coach–Toby Whiteman–knew long ago. The latest to tell the Happ story is the Big Ten Network and their series The Journey. Whiteman was interviewed for the segment. He says once a Rockridge Rocket always a Rockridge Rocket and once a lower Rock Island County kid always a lower Rock Island County kid. That’s Ethan Happ.
The Journey filmed its segment with Whiteman on Monday at Rockridge. Whiteman’s first season at Rockridge was Happ’s sophomore year.
