Westmer Grad Named Mercer County Jr. High Principal; Dengler Hired As Eagles Volleyball Coach

A Westmer grad has been hired as the new principal at Mercer County Junior High School.  The Unit 404 Board of Education employed Tim Sedam last night.  He will begin his new job August 1st.  Sedam currently serves as athletic director and business teacher at Orion High School. The Mercer County School District has been utilizing interim principals at the junior high since Rob Reed resigned last fall. Gary Heard held the interim post followed by Ray Bergles.
Also last night, the Mercer County School Board hired Katie Dengler as varsity volleyball coach. It’s her second stint in the position.  She teaches at Apollo Elementary.
