A theft case involving the Mercer County Athletic Booster Club has been continued for a second time within the last month. 40 year old Chastity Jackson appeared in Mercer County Circuit Court for a pre-trial conference this morning with the matter continued to May 7th. The delay was attributed to the defense. According to an Aledo Police Department press release, Jackson was arrested on a warrant last October. She is facing Class 2 and Class 3 felony counts of theft after being indicted by a Mercer County Grand Jury. Jackson is accused of gaining unauthorized control of between $500 and $10,000 for her own personal use. She is free on $50,000 bond.
