Tennessee Man Sentenced Later This Year For Theft Of Mercer County Horse Trailer

A Tennessee man found guilty of a Class 3 felony theft charge in connection with a stolen horse trailer from the Joy area. The verdict was rendered Monday afternoon by Judge Peter Church following a bench trial in Mercer County Circuit Court. 55 year old John F. Sullivan was also found guilty of obstructing justice—a Class 4 felony. He will be sentenced October 21st. The court will allow Sullivan to travel/reside in Tennessee until sentencing hearing. The trailer was the subject of a Mercer County Crime Stoppers report in March.
