Sherrard Schools Placed On ‘Soft Lockdown’ Thursday Morning

Sherrard schools placed on a “soft lockdown” this morning as law enforcement authorities sought an individual wanted on several warrants.  Unit 200 superintendent Alan Boucher says the wanted person wasn’t necessarily targeting any of the schools, he was just in the vicinity of several of the district’s buildings.

The wanted man was taken into custody by law enforcement shortly before noon without incident at any Sherrard schools and the “soft lockdown” has now been lifted.
