Second Person Identified In Taylor Ridge Burglary

The Rock Island County Sheriff’s Department has released the identity of the second person involved in a Taylor Ridge area burglary last week. An arrest warrant has been issued for 34-year-old Devin Thomas Stevens for residential burglary and resisting a police officer. The other person involved in the case, 34-year-old Amber Summers of Taylor Ridge is being held on $1,000,000 bond charged with Class 1 felonies of residential burglary and disarming a peace officer and a Class X felony of aggravated discharge of a firearm involving a police officer. Class X felonies are punishable by 6-to-30 years in prison upon conviction. Summers was arrested Friday after a Rock Island County Sheriff’s Deputy chased her down on foot. During the struggle she attempted to disarm the officer causing a single shot to be fired from the duty weapon, according to a press release. No one was injured.
