The sanity of an Aledo man charged in a sex assault case will be evaluated. The mental health evaluation was ordered this morning in Mercer County Circuit Court following a defense motion for 20 year old Gunner Terry. He faces five Class X felonies stemming from alleged incidents involving two children under the age of 13. Terry was arrested in April and remains in custody at the Mercer County Jail on $250,000 bond with a status hearing scheduled for August 21st. Class X felonies are punishable by 6-to-30 years in prison upon conviction.
