Rural Aledo Man Sentenced To 12-Years For Residential Burglaries

mccormickA rural Aledo man sentenced to 12-years in prison for a series of residential burglaries in rural Mercer County. 27 year old Brandt McCormick must also serve two-years mandatory supervised release once his prison sentence is up. In addition, he must pay restitution totaling $630 to three different victims. McCormick pled guilty to two Class 1 felony counts this week in Mercer County Circuit Court, with one Class 1 felony being dismissed as part of the negotiated plea. He was arrested in May of 2013 and is getting day for day credit of 435 days for time spent in the Mercer and Rock Island County Jails.
