Rockridge School Board Approves Placing Consolidated Elementary School Referendum On Ballot

rockridge school districtThe Rockridge School Board has approved placing a $15-million building bond referendum on the March 18th ballot. The district wants to build a new consolidated elementary school near the Junior High and High School in Edgington says Unit 300 Superintendent Chet Lien.

A citizen’s committee–called Rockridge Forward, is promoting the referendum. Currently, Rockridge has elementary schools in Illinois City, Taylor Ridge, and Andalusia. The school board closed Reynolds Elementary School last year.
