Rockridge Continues Trend Of Declining Enrollment

Rockridge School District Superintendent Dr. Chet Lien

For the sixth time in seven years, the Rockridge School District has experienced a decline in enrollment. This year’s number is down 18 students from a year ago to 1,129. Superintendent Chet Lien says Rockridge has experienced about a 30 year trend of declining enrollment and that lead to some tough decisions last spring, including closing Reynolds Elementary School.

Rockridge’s enrollment peaked at 2,049 students in 1977.
