The Rockrdige Rockets had their season come to an abrupt end in the first game of the Class 2A Orion Regional as the Fulton Steamers avenged an earlier season loss with a 45-39 victory. The fifth seeded Steamers advanced to the championship game on Friday against the host Chargers. At the Sherrard Regional, Erie-Prophetstown nipped Alleman 41-39. At North Boone, seventh seeded Winnebago upset third seeded Indian Creek 71-58. At Monmouth, Monmouth-Roseville beat Eureka 50-47.
In Class 1A Regional play, at United, the Red Storm lost to Elmwood 58-36 and Abingdon-Avon downed Lewistown 53-45. At Annawan, Wethersfield handled Ridgewood 62-29 and Roanoke-Benson beat Annawan 49-42. At Princeville the host Princes won 63-48 over Rowva-Williamsfield and Ottawa Marquette beat Galva 58-45.
