The Rockridge Rockets offensive struggles continued right up to their final game of the season as they fell to the Alleman Pioneers 45-27 in the Class 2A Rockridge Regional Wednesday night. The Rockets made just one of its first 15 shots and were 3 for 20 for the half as the Pioneers lead 24-7. The Rockets played even with the Alleman in the second half but couldn’t overcome the hole they had dug for themselves. Rockridge ends the year at 10-16. Alleman (14-13) advances to the championship game Friday night against Mercer County.
In other 2A Regional play, at Mendota, Hall beat Princeton 50-40. At Fulton, Bureau Valley stopped West Carroll 64-47 and Fulton won the rubber match over Riverdale 47-32.
In Class 1A at Galva, Princeville held off Galva 40 and at Varna, Wethersfield nipped Roanoke-Benson 49-48.
