The Ridgewood Spartans won the Class 1A Havana boys golf sectional on Wednesday. The Spartans fired a 326. Pleasant Plains was second with a 332 and Williamsville was third with a 337. Those three schools will advance to the state finals this Friday and Saturday. Rockridge finished sixth at 348.. Sherrard finished ninth at 360. No other local golfers advanced as individuals.
In volleyball, Knoxville was the top seed for Sub-Sectional A in the Class 2A Farmington Sectional. United was seeded second and Mercer County was seeded seventh. West Central and Knoxville will serve as regional hosts. In the Oregon Sectional, Orion was the top seed in Sub-Sectional B, Rockridge was third, Sherrard seventh and Ridgewood tenth. Sherrard and Bureau Valley will host the regionals.
