Reynolds Man Sentenced To Eight Years In Meth Case

A Reynolds man receives an eight-year prison sentence in a Mercer County methamphetamine case. 38 year old Cainen Young was sentenced today after pleading guilty to a Class 1 felony. As part of his guilty plea, a Class X meth count along with a Class 4 felony of aggravated fleeing; and two more Class 4 felony counts of criminal damage to property were dismissed as well as traffic citations for driving under the influence of drugs and driving on revoked license. The charges all stem from his arrest last March. Young must also pay $5,000 in restitution to the Mercer County Sheriff’s Department. His eight-year prison sentence will run concurrent with a Rock Island County case where he was charged with felony counts of aggravated battery to a peace officer and criminal damage to property.
