A number of Fourth of July traditions in Aledo on Wednesday. The day starts with the Dr. Ford Frog Race followed by the Mercer County Community Band—all at Aledo Central Park says Community Band Director Rusty Ruggles.
The day ends with fireworks at dusk says Aledo Fire Chief Dennis Litwiler.
Litwiler says licensing to shoot fireworks is done through the State Fire Marshal and Illinois Department of Natural Resources.
