Multiple Agencies Help Locate Swedona Area Crash Victim

mercer county search and rescueMultiple agencies help in the search for an individual involved in a weekend crash near Swedona. The rollover accident occurred Saturday night along Knoxville Road, according to a Mercer County Sheriff’s Department report. The driver of the vehicle, Justin Beeman, was not in or near the vehicle when deputies responded to the scene. He was eventually located by a search party and was transported to an area hospital. His condition is unknown at this time. New Windsor Police, Sherrard Fire and Rescue, AMT Ambulance, Illinois State Police, Mercer County Search and Rescue, Medforce Helicopter EMS and the victim’s family and friends provided assistance in locating the victim. The Swedona Lutheran Church also opened their doors for use of their facilities during the search. The crash remains under investigation.
