A Monmouth man receives a three-year prison term for a Christmas Day methamphetamine charge in Mercer County. 31 year old Justin Majors was sentenced Tuesday on the Class 2 felony. A Mercer County jury found him guilty in late April following a two day trial. The court did grant Majors’ attorney direct verdicts on stolen vehicle, controlled substance and drug paraphernalia charges during the trial. Majors has been in custody on $20,000 bond since his arrest last December 25th.He was given 190 days credit for time served.
