Milan Legion Knocked Out Of State Tournament

Milan Legion Post 569 just could not find their offense as they were eliminated from the Illinois State Legion Tournament dropping their second straight game losing to Alton Post 126 3-2 this morning.  Alton Post 126 scored two runs in the top of the first but Post 569 quickly tied it on Brandon Skovronski’s two run single in the bottom half of the inning.  The two clubs remained tied at 2 until the top of the seventh when Post 126 pushed across an unearned run on a bases loaded hit by pitch.  Jake Williams singled with two outs in the bottom of the 7th but Post 569 wasn’t able to move him around.  Jake Ruesch went the first 6 innings giving up 5 hits, striking out 7 and walking 6.  He had to leave the game after 6 innings due to his pitch count.  Justin Bost took the loss.  Milan Post 569 finishes the season at 17-8 after winning their first ever 3rd Division title.
