31 students from Mercer County High School attend the Junior Achievement Building Trades Expo. The event was last week at the Plumbers & Pipefitters Union Hall in Rock Island. The Expo is an interactive career exploration program targeting high school students interested in the building trades industry. The goal of the event is to ensure students understand the education and aptitudes required to enter an apprenticeship program and also help students make an informed decision about their career plans and
provide the resources they need to enroll in an apprenticeship training program. Participating building trade exhibitors included:  Bricklayers, Cement Masons, Electricians, Insulators, Plasterers, Plumbers/Pipefitters, Ironworkers, Laborers, Operators and Painters/Glaziers.
