Mercer County School Board Hears Concern Over P3 Campus App

It was just a month ago a new Crime Stoppers mobile app was unveiled for students and parents in the Mercer County School District. P3 Campus is a confidential reporting line, where tips remain anonymous, just like the regular Crime Stoppers line.  But concern was expressed at last night’s Unit 404 Board of Education meeting that the app is being used beyond its intended purpose.  Among those speaking to the board—local business owner Jim Essig and parent and head wrestling coach Steve Speaker.

The board met in closed session last night to discuss some possible modifications with the app.  Unit 404 superintendent Scott Petrie.

The program was unveiled at last month’s Mercer County School Board meeting and is funded by the Mercer County Crime Stoppers program.  There is no financial obligation from the district.
