Blood supplies running low this time of year with post-holidays and winter weather, but the monthly American Red Cross community blood drive is set for this week in Mercer County. Red Cross spokesman Joe Zydlo says there is an urgent need for blood and platelet donors.
The next Mercer County American Red Cross community blood drive is Tuesday from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Mercer County VFW. Walk-ins are welcome.
