Matherville Woman Arrested On Probation Violation In Meth Case

A Matherville woman who pleaded guilty to a meth charge last month, has been arrested on a probation violation. The Mercer County Sheriff’s Department reports that 26 year old Erica Sandusky was picked up on a warrant on Wednesday and taken to the Mercer County Jail where she later posted bond. A petition to revoke her probation has been filed with a hearing scheduled for November 6th in Mercer County Circuit Court. Sandusky entered a guilty plea to a Class 2 felony meth charge on September 18th. In exchange for her guilty plea, Class X and Class 1 felony meth counts were dismissed. As part of Sandusky’s 24-months’ probation, she was ordered to complete a substance abuse evaluation and any recommended treatment. The agreement also included 30 hours of community service and $500 in fines and court costs. Sandusky was originally arrested in a 2015 meth bust. An arrest warrant has been issued for the co-defendant in the case—23 year old Charles Peacock of Milan stemming from a probation violation.  His whereabouts are unknown.
