Local Businessman Remembers Working For Roy Clark

Country music legend Roy Clark died today at the age of 85.  The Grammy, ACM and CMA award-winner passed away at his home in Tulsa.  Clark left a lasting memory with an Aledo businessman.  Jim Garner of the Main Street Barber Company was Clark’s tour bus driver before he got into his current profession.  Garner says he drove for Clark for about 8 years.

Best known for his 24 year stint on TV’s “Hee Haw” series, Clark charted more than 50 popular hits including “Yesterday, When I Was Young”, “Riders In The Sky” and “Thank God and Greyhound”
