After a busy weekend, the local high school sports scene took a little breather Monday. In volleyball, Kewanee beat Rowva 25-5, 25-18, Princeville beat Midwest Central 25-10, 25-17 and Brimfield beat Wethersfield 25-11, 25-20 in non-conference action. On the links it was Fulton winning a boys triangular over Riverdale and Rockridge. The Steamers shot a 148, the Rams 153 and the Chargers 175.
In Freshman-Sophomore football, Mercer County topped Elmwood-Brimfield 20-6. Rockridge beat Monmouth-Roseville 26-12. In other action it was South Fulton 8 West Central 0, Lewistwon 40 Stark County 22, Farmington 57 Annawan-Wethersfield 16, Peoria Heights-Quest 14 Mid-County 0 and Bushnell-West Prairie 44 Ridgewood 7.
