Orion’s Logan Lee’s switch from basketball to wrestling culminated with a 220 pound Class 1A state championship. Lee stopped Cody Miller of Bismark-Henning 12-9 Saturday night to claim the title. Mercer County’s Stone Engle was pinned by West Hancock’s Brett Hammel in the third place match at 126 but in doing so picked up his third state medal in as many years. Orion’s James Schnerre won a major decision over Robert Shields of Wilmington to capture a third place medal at 145. The state dual team tournament begins Tuesday with sixth ranked Mercer County meeting second ranked Lena-Winslow at Rockridge. Lena-Winslow beat the Golden Eagles 48-30 to open the season.
