Injured Mercer County Sheriff’s Deputy Dennis Sabel receives a police escort back home. He had been at University Hospitals in Iowa City, but was transferred to Genesis Medical Center in Aledo on Tuesday. Sabel was struck by a fleeing suspect’s car last Wednesday near Sherrard. The suspect–29 year old Jesse Walsh of Sherrard is facing several felony charges and is being held in the Mercer County Jail on $250,000 bond.
