One independent candidate has filed for a Mercer County Board race. TomiJo Hayden of Sherrard will run in District 2 and will challenge Democrat Gary Gregg of Viola. Republican incumbent Brian Anseeuw of New Windsor is not seeking re-election. Hayden was the only independent candidate to file in Mercer County at the Monday deadline. The election is November 6th.
