The Illinois Department of Natural Resources offering a local hunter education safety course this weekend. Allen Henshaw of Keithsburg has been a longtime IDNR instructor.
The two-day class is from Noon-to-5 p.m. this Saturday and Sunday at the First Christian Church in Keithsburg. A 1996 state law requires that all hunters born on or after January 1, 1980 successfully complete the course before they can receive their first hunting license.
