Howard, Staley, Lower & Jones Win Contested Mercer County Primaries

voting pollsGeorge Howard and Dave Staley will be the two candidates looking to become Mercer County Sheriff in the November general election. Howard won tonight’s Republican nomination over Chris DeFrieze 785 to 566 and Staley gained the Democratic nomination defeating Jeff Dale and Caryn Brokaw 566-to-430-to-423.
The Democatic nomination for Mercer County Treasurer was won by Bev Lower–960 to 395 over Shawna Pearson.
And the Republican nomination for District 1 Mercer County Board–Karen Jones defeated Jason Soseman 178 to 103.  And Soseman, who is the Chairman of the Mercer County Republican Party, also lost to Bob Vickrey for Mercer 6 Precinct Committeemen 54 to 26.
