Site of new Mercer Carnegie Library.
A groundbreaking date has been announced for the new Mercer Carnegie Library. The ceremony will be this Saturday morning at 9 a.m. at 412 East Main Street in Aledo, the site of the new library. The project is estimated at $1-million. The new library will be built in a vacant lot just north of Blick & Blick Oil and the 4,500 square foot building should be finished by the first quarter of 2019.
