The Mercer County Board is exploring a raffle ordinance. County Board Chairman Joe Vann of New Boston says it would require organizations to get an annual license at a nominal fee.
Vann says organizations that have multiple raffles would need just one license. He hopes the ordinance will be ready for a vote next month. Vann says a raffle—for example that would have winnings of $8,000—the fee would be $10 for a license.
