The Orion Chargers owned a pair of regular season victories over the Rockridge Rockets during Three Rivers Athletic Conference play but had to rally to win the Class 2A Orion Volleyball Regional championship Thursday night. The Rockets won the first game of the match 25-19 but Orion regrouped and won the next two, 25-17 and 25-19 to take the title. Orion advances to the Riverdale Sectional with at Riverdale with a record of 33-4 where they will meet Lena-Winslow Monday night. Rockridge closes out the season at 22-13.
At Aledo, fifth seeded Bureau Valley beat second seeded Knoxville 23-25, 25-20, 25-18 to win the Mercer County Regional.
