Bond has been reduced for an Aledo man facing ten felony sex abuse/sex assault counts. 44 year old Michael E. Daniels was being held on $500,000 bond, but that amount was lowered to $150,000 late this morning in Mercer County Circuit Court. He’s facing three Class X felonies, three Class 1 felonies and four Class 2 felonies in connection with alleged incidents involving a child under the age of 13. Class X felonies are punishable by 6-to-30 years in prison upon conviction. A pre-trial conference is set for July 18th. Daniels remains in custody on $150,000 bond.
