Aledo Man Sentenced To Four Years In Prison In Viola Burglary Case

An Aledo man has been sentenced to four years in prison in a burglary case. 47 year old Amos Anderson pleaded guilty to the Class 2 felony last June and received the prison term this week in Mercer County Circuit Court. He was accused of breaking into a building in the Viola area in March of this year.  The state was seeking a seven-year sentence in the case with the defense wanting probation and mental health treatment. Judge Peter Church settled on the four-year prison term.  $3,000 in restitution was also ordered as part of the sentence.
